Shipping
As each item is hand-made, we make every attempt to get orders out within 7-10 days. We also offer a ‘rush’ service that can be selected at checkout for an additional fee. There are additional shipping options at checkout, be sure to select the best method for your order. We currently do not offer ‘gift wrap’ services, but your box or boxes will be carefully packaged in bubble wrap for protection and additionally wrapped in tissue. We’ll be sure to email you tracking information at time of shipment.
When Ordering
Please remember each box is individually hand made and won’t look exactly like the picture on the site as far as color of patina and stamping of the metal. Patina has a mind of it’s own but we will try to match it as closely as possible. The image inside the lids will match the photo on the website. All the boxes are padded with the same lovely red wine colored velvet. It may appear slightly as different colors in the photos. There is no choice in padding color when ordering.
Returns
We work very hard to assure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If for some reason, you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us and we will work it out. We do refunds less shipping except on custom work. In custom work we send mock up boxes with photoshop images and they are approved each step of the way. We really haven’t had an unsolvable problem in 30 years! Please contact us within 10 days of receiving your purchase. Any refund will by made promptly within one week.
Repairs
If the breakage is glass, that can be repaired for a small fee as the box needs to be deconstructed to repair. If the copper is bent, that is nearly impossible to fix. We can discuss but it is doubtful. If the damage is our fault we pay return shipping, if your fault-you pay.
We suggest that periodically the top of the lid gets a new layer of Butchers Wax (purchased at your local hardware store). This will restore the richness of the copper.
Payment
We currently accept credit card payments thru PayPal only. Payment is made at checkout at time of order. For custom orders, which are currently only available by phone, we require an initial deposit and the balance due at time of shipment. See the page about custom orders for more details.
